Defense Verdict for West Des Moines Dentist

Partner Mike Storey and associate John Maschman successfully defended a West Des Moines dentist against claims of dental malpractice. The plaintiff alleged a permanent nerve injury following a root canal procedure. Plaintiff sought more than $300,000.00 in damages. LDM, through client and expert testimony, synthesized and presented complex medical and dental evidence to the jury. After less than two hours of deliberations, the Iowa jury returned a defense verdict, affirming that the dentist adhered to the standard of care and was not liable for the plaintiff’s injuries.
