Janice Thomas and John Maschman Presented on “Employment Practices Liability Insurance” at the Big I Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa: Rural Agents Conference

Partner Janice Thomas and Attorney John Maschman delivered a presentation on EPLI (“Employment Practices Liability Insurance”) at the Big I Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa: Rural Agents Conference. At this annual gathering rural insurance agents from throughout Iowa gather to network and obtain continuing education credits. Janice and John’s presentation was titled: “What is EPLI and How Does it Challenge HR Staff?” They explored the provisions of a standard EPLI policy, provided advice for HR professionals to follow when dealing with EPLI matters, and reviewed a few illustrative cases from Iowa and the Midwest to highlight the importance of this insurance product to employers large and small, rural and urban.
