What is your definition of success?
Doing great work for the client. We are all busy, but we have to keep in mind that each client deserves our best efforts and if we provide that, the client will invariably be pleased.
What's the most unique part about working at LDM?
The people. I feel so blessed to work with caring co-workers who really do care about our clients. This interest in our client’s well-being shines through at every meeting and in every discussion.
What’s one thing — either industry-related or not — you learned in the last month?
I learned that large, concrete swimming pools can float right out of the hole they are poured in—unless you have hydrostatic pressure release valves. Who knew?
What’s the best advice you can give to someone who is just starting their career?
Be open to continued learning, every day, for your entire career. While fewer new things that come across my desk, it still happens with some regularity. It’s ok to not know the answer, but it’s equally important to make sure you are spending the time to find the correct answer.
What are you currently reading, listening to or binge-watching?
My wife and I are currently binging West Wing. I am listening to The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.
