Baylee D. Newell

Baylee D. Newell is an attorney in Lamson Dugan & Murray’s West Des Moines office, focusing her practice on civil litigation.

Baylee earned her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2026. While in law school, she received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in Torts, competed in moot court, and served as a student judge on the moot court board. She also served as Co-President of the Rural Interest Group and as Vice President of both the Tax Law Society and First Generation Lawyers.

Originally from Anita, Iowa, Baylee grew up on a row crop and cattle farm before attending the University of Kansas, where she earned a degree in business.

Outside the office, Baylee enjoys golfing, fishing, reading, spending time outdoors, and spending time with her three nieces.
