
Hattie R. Shipps
Hattie R. Shipps is an attorney in Lamson Dugan & Murray’s Omaha office, focusing her practice on civil litigation and representing clients in matters across Nebraska and Iowa.
Hattie earned her J.D., cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law, where she received certificates of concentration in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Health Law. She also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Torts.
During law school, Hattie developed experience in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration. She served as President of the Werner Institute’s student board, represented Creighton Law at multiple ABA regional competitions, and placed fifth overall in attorney advocacy at an international dispute resolution competition. Her legal practice is also informed by her ties to agriculture and rural communities.
Hattie earned her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in Interdisciplinary Behavioral Health Studies.
Outside the office, Hattie enjoys reading, traveling, playing pickleball, spending time with her family, and spending time with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Pepper.
